Social Enterprises

A sustainable and scalable Social Enterprise (SE) needs two key ingredients for success: an effective organization to create a positive social and environmental impact, and growth capital. Social Enterprises listed on Impact Partners gain immediate exposure to a global audience of mission-aligned investors looking for meaningful opportunities in Asia.

 

Once showcased on the platform, a qualified SE will have access to: 

  • Direct exposure to potential investors: Registered SEs listed on Impact Partners gain exposure to a global audience of accredited impact investors looking to invest in Asia and the region. 
  • Increased credibility: All SEs listed on Impact Partners go through a thorough screening process to ensure their social and/or environmental impact, thus giving potential investors greater confidence in the listed investment opportunities.
  • Mission-aligned investment: Registered SEs can connect with Impact Investors looking to deploy their capital in a mission-aligned manner for triple bottom line returns.
  • Diverse sources of capital: Registered SEs have flexibility to raise equity or debt from a diverse range of investors including accredited individual investors, family offices and investment funds.
  • Exclusive events: Registered SEs will receive exclusive invitations to annual Impact Forums, monthly Impact Chats, training workshops, conferences and related industry events.
  • Community: Registered SEs will automatically be part of a community that connects Investors, Social Entrepreneurs and Ecosystem Partners such as financial advisors, lawyers and accountants.
 
Listing on the platform
 
Impact Partners offers SEs the choice of two types of membership, Premium and Regular. An overview of the listing process is displayed below.
 
 
1. Premium Listing
 
If an SE meets the Impact Partners Premium Listing criteria, it will get access to the following Premium Listing services:
 
• The opportunity to create its own online profile on Impact Partners 
• Priority placement on Impact Partners
• Preparation of investor materials (i.e., business and financial overview, impact summary) by Impact Partners professionals. 
• Mentoring, advisory and other supporting services in areas of business planning from the Impact Partners team who offer a wide range of experience and expertise
• Preparation of additional investor materials (i.e., investor presentations) at discounted rates
• Opportunity to present to a live investor audience.  
• Detailed Impact Assessment conducted by the Shujog team at discounted rates
• Access to a community of experts such as financial advisors, lawyers and IIX Ecosystem Partners
• Access to Shujog’s educational services under Impact Academy, the opportunity to present at Impact Forum and access to sector research reports
 
For SEs seeking to raise US$2 million or less of investment capital, the Premium Listing Fee is US$ 6,000. 
 
For SEs seeking to raise more than US$2 million of investment capital, the Premium Listing fee is US$ 15,000. 
 
2. Regular Listing 
 
If an SE meets the Impact Partners Regular Listing criteria, it will receive access to the following Regular Listing services:
 
• The opportunity to create its own online profile on Impact Partners
• Access to impact investors who can view the online profile, and who receive investment updates via email.
 
For Regular Listing, there is no membership fee. If an SE under the Regular Listing would like to receive access to the Premium Listing services, it can access them on a paid, a-la-carte basis. 
 
 
Application Process
 
After registering online with Impact Partners, SEs undergo a screening process to ensure their eligibility for listing. The screening process usually takes one to two weeks. If an SE is approved, the investment opportunity will be listed on Impact Partners with varying information depending on the type of listing. 
 
Regular Listing: Once the SE has completed its online profile, the Impact Partners team will review before the profile goes live on the platform. Impact Partners will then send a notification email to all registered investors of the new listing and direct investors to the online profile. If an investor expresses interest in the SE and the SE agrees, the Impact Partners team will facilitate an introduction.
 
At any time during the investment process a Regular SE can upgrade to Premium (subject to Impact Partners approval) or pay for Premium Listing services on a-la-carte basis.
 
Premium Listing: Impact Partners will conduct enhanced SE screening by conducting an on-site visit. Once an on-site assessment is completed, Impact Partners will prepare a Business and Financial overview and Impact Summary, that will be presented in addition to documents provided by the SE. Premium SEs have great visibility on the platform through priority listing. Impact Partners will undertake proactive investor outreach by making targeted calls to investors and facilitate investor presentations.
